Director for Greece and Cyprus, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
Ms. Sabina Dziurman is a senior banker, and Director for Greece and Cyprus at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. She started working for the EBRD in 1993 as an expert for the development of a viable commercial banking sector in the countries of the former Soviet Union.
She spent 12 years as a freelance consultant in countries of the former Soviet Union focussing on in banking and SME credit lines, mainly for EBRD but also for organisations such as DFID and World Bank in Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. This involved training loan officers in the entire credit cycle including credit analysis, financial analysis, preparation of cash flow projections, loan structuring etc.
In 2004, she became a regular staff member of the Bank, initially joining the Group for Small Business and later the Financial Institutions Group which provides equity and a range of debt products to 350 partner institutions across EBRD’s countries of operations. She successfully led landmark transactions like the rescue of Latvia’s Parex Bank and the EBRD’s first investment in Cyprus whilst a Senior Banker in the Financial Institutions team.
Ms. Sabina Dziurman was been appointed Director for Greece and Cyprus at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in July 2015 and has been based in Athens since September.
Ms Dziurman, a British citizen, was educated at London University and London Business School, from where she holds an MBA.
