Athens Investment Summit is pleased to welcome Dr. Elias Nassiopoulos, senior structural analyst and founder of GIVE, a start-up in the electric mobility and vehicle electrification sector.
Dr. Elias Nassiopoulos is a senior structural analyst with specialisation on composite materials and analysis. After almost 10 years abroad, he now returns to Greece and is in the process of founding his innovative engineering firm, a project long thought and now mature, to enter the electric mobility and vehicle electrification market, one of the most exciting and promising fields of vehicle engineering today.
He graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece and received his Eng Dipl in 2009. He was then accepted by Cranfield University and the Centre for Automotive Technology, to pursue his studies with a Master and later a PhD. He received the MSc in 2010 and the PhD in 2015.
During his studies in the Aristotle University, he was the founder of the Aristotle University Racing Team, called ART, which successfully fabricated a formula car and participated in two race competitions, in UK and Italy. Dr. Elias Nassiopoulos remained part of the team for two years, in the second year serving as the team leader
Through his studies and doctoral research, Dr. Nassiopoulos became a specialist on composite material and structural analysis from linear to dynamic modelling. He published three papers in international journals, one chapter in book and presented his work in several Conferences. During his PhD, he provided teaching courses on structures and finite element theory, as well as technical support with FE related topics to the “Motorsport & Management” MSc students.
In 2012 he became the president of the Cranfield Motorsport Club, to assist the organisation of related events and the design and modifications of the Club’s racing vehicle. In the same time he was the co-founder of a student society with target the artistic sensitization of the students through the organization of events as the incubator for cultural development.

He was soon responsible for key components, such as front wings and impact structures, wishbones, suspension members, safety equipment, engine systems and a wide range of mechanical and composite structural parts, working closely with all teams of engineers and designers.
He was then hired by Prodrive Engineering, as a senior structural analyst, to develop the technical capability of the CAE group in the area of composites, as well as the business side in the same area, client communication, investigation on funding routes and proposal writing.
Speaking Greek, English and French fluently, he worked as part of multicultural teams in several projects, not only within an academic environment but also within an industrial environment, and developed human relations and communication skills essential for their successful completion.
